Client fee: 1 training point per candidate
Group course: £595 + £20 exam fee per candidate
Group client fee: 10 training points (up to 15 candidates)
Who should attend?
This course is designed for all staff and managers who have been assigned duties as fire wardens and/or have been assigned health & safety duties and responsibilities within their organisation.
Course content
- Understanding workplace fire hazards and risks
- Common causes of fires in the workplace
- The fire triangle
- Identifying hazards during and after a fire
- Fire Risk Assessments
- Correct use of equipment
- Detection and raising the alarm
- Improving safety
- Identifying escape routes
- Duties and responsibilities of employers and employees
- The role of a fire warden
Course structure
The training course includes lectures enhanced by audio and visuals material including practical teaching aids.
Delegates are encouraged to actively participate in discussions and group activities.
Duration
Minimum of 6 hours of instruction over 1 day
Assessment
Course delegates are required to sit a 2-hour multiple choice examination.
Certification
Successful candidates receive a certificate from the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance.
Next qualification
Requalification mandatory every three years
