Who should attend?
This qualification is aimed at supervisors and managers with direct responsibility for health and safety management. The qualification is intended for those already working as supervisors or managers and those who are preparing to start work at this level.

Course structure
This course includes lectures enhanced by audio/visual material and practical teaching aids. Delegates are encouraged to actively participate in discussion sessions, group/practical activities, independent or group research and the presentation of material.
Duration
The course is taught over 5 days with an additional exam preparation day that students are encouraged to attend.
Assessment
This qualification is assessed in two parts:
Part 1: Externally set and marked activities. Learners are expected to undertake the following activities:
- Undertake a risk assessment
- Construct a safe system of work
Part 2: A 3-hour written examination that contains a case study of a fictional business which outlines its current health and safety standards, policies and procedure
